PAINTED WOOD TOPS

  • Are constructed of POPLAR.

  • Painted tops can be either solid (smooth top) or planked.  Please specify when ordering.

  • Planked tops are tongue and groove and will move with changes in the environment. The planks can either shrink or swell.

  • Solid tops are glued together and do not tend to change as much with the environment.

  • Due to the fragility of our crackle finishes - we do NOT recommend any of the crackle or crackle wash finishes for table tops. Moisture (sweating glasses, etc.) will cause the paint to lift.

  • All painted tops are finished with several coats of a clear satin top-coat.
